SECTalk.com Redesign

<a href="http://www.sectalk.com" target="_blank">http://www.sectalk.com</a>

Please let me know what you think about the design. The Home/CMS portion is still under construction.

I like the forum skin, as it looks very professional. The footer image is a nice touch. The logo is good. The players at the top make it instantly clear what your site is about. I would rework the header just a little to make the logo come out a little better. Currently it blends into the background.

The navigation links, I needed to look around to find them, instead of intuitively clicking on them. The first things I do when arriving on a new site is navigate around to see where everything is.

You have 4 bars with navigation links:
  1. In your header image.
  2. In your navbar
  3. The bar underneath your navbar.
  4. In your footer bar.
Some links appear in several placess. I would certainly remove 1 or 2 bars.

At the top of the forum index there is a blue bar with 3 links in them. Im not sure what this is for. I'd either replace it with a titled ticker or remove it.

I know its not finished, but a small note about the slider: The slider doesn't work well for me on FF4. It loads slow and the widget almost fills the whole page.

Thanks for the comments, Alfa :).

for the SEC - I think it's a bit of a dull style. SEC is the toughest in the league. Your theme/skin/style should reflect that, but it currently doesn't. It's rather subdued and tame actually.

Perhaps it is that I'm a Tennessee fan and would love to see more orange and white incorporated into the design LOL....

Your main forum index icons are a bit boring too. Perhaps you might consider using a custom variation of your logo as the icons? It would present a more solid 'custom' look.

I love the header changes on page reload though - very nice. If I had to rate it on a 10-point scale - I'd say 6 or 7 --- not bad by any stretch of the imagination, but could certainly do with a few enhancements = Go Vols :P

Jacquii.
