4.1.4 problem after upgrade
 

i have upgrade and problems start.
Now if someone wants to start new thread you cannot see any bottom.
lets say
image,link so on. boxes in there but no writings.
Any help please.

My message box is missing for the new posts .... we can't edit for anything we load without this editor box ..... i tried everything to get it to work . just curious if we are missing some codes in the templates to get this to show ..... and i have the sprite.png loaded also and nothing is showing . need help ..... thanks

try this first. Go to your AdminCP > Maintenance > Diagnostics: Suspect File Versions.

if you get this message "File not recognized as part of vBulletin" from vbulletin files ( not files you needed to upload for mod installs ) then re-upload the original vbulletin files to your forum's root.

Another thing I'm thinking about is your forum style, if you are using another style that's not the default one, check if you can see what's missing using the default vbulletin style, if you can then it means you need to update your style, if not then it's something else.

I'll try all we have is the default skin so updated a new one and still the same ... we had the editor box before this update

Try re-adding the default vbulletin style as a new style and check if problem is fixed. If it is then your default style needs updating ( if you made changes to it ).

Also, try disabling your forum addons, go to AdminCP > Settings > Options > plugin/hook system : set to NO, if problem is resolved then a modification installed on your forum it's causing the problem.

k i disabled plug and hook system and still no good .... where can i get a fresh default skin for vb 4.1.4 ?

i tried and none did help .
i am using another style .
87 files didn't recognize.
so many of them out there.

You can add the default style by going to:

AdminCP > Styles & Templates > Style Manager: [Add New Style]

Just type the name for the style and save, It will be using the default vbulletin style.

Well, I can't think about anything else that's causing the problem, so you'll have to wait until someone with more experience replies here or you can contact vbulletin support about it.

thanks for the help i made the new default skin and i'm re uploading the vb to see what else i can do to fix this issue ...

issue has been resolved.
This is what i did. i contacted the style site and they give me link to upload 4.1.4 style (new one) all issues resolved.
problem now is site doesn't open fully.
have to figure it out how to fix this.
