vB4 Chat
 

G'day I am running a forum using phpbb3 and find it to hard to add mods ect.
I am looking to come over here and use vB4.
My question is what chats are out there? is there a chat that just mods/admin can chat on and one that regular members can chat on?
Thanks. Also to add a Mod to vB4 is there a mile of code that needs to be done first? I am looking for ease and not to be relying on other people to add stuff to the site.

There are all sorts of chat addons. The three I own are:

Flashchat = I uninstalled it tho about 6 months later - and it was only $5 to buy - a very good chatroom - and not all that hard to install.

Prochatrooms - I paid $50 for it. Very MSN like - integrates nicely with Vbulletin. Password protected rooms for each usegroup - plus members can create their own.

Cometchat - I also paid $50 for it. We use it for chatting online one to one - and for instant online support.

There are free ones out there too.....just have to search!

All of the above were installed by me - and I am by far no coder/expert in Vbulletin.

I learn as I go - and Vbulletin makes that pretty easy even for a meathead like me - you will not regret making the switch.

I use VSA Chatbox, easy to install (I'm a novice) and it's the first place that new members say hello and get to know others.
