Move Threads from Social Groups to Forums

Is there a way to do this ? vB.com say no :-(

I have 2 groups with lots of posts and i would like to move these posts to s private forum ?

Have you tried a search? I know there used to be a modification that would create a forum for a group and I think move all the discussions into threads.
