vbulletin 4 traffic drop after upgrading from 3.6.8

Hello,

Does anyone have experience with traffic drops from google after upgrading from version 3 to version 4.

I am planning to upgrade forum from 3.6.8. to 4.1.3 version

i have vbseo 3.1. and i have installed also 3.6. version.

i have made all changes exactly like in 3.6.8. version, (but whole structure of site is chaning so...) but i am affraid to put it from local to online because of loosing traffics.

Anybody have experience with this.

Thanks

You won't see any traffic drops from Search Engines. If your visitor's don't like vbulletin 4, you might experience traffic lose from people rage quitting.

did you change your url format in the upgrade?

i have vbseo installed, i didnt change anything in url structure, i have imported old setting to new ones, and everything works perfect on local server, but i am affraid if i go online with that that traffic will drop

so i am just asking if someone have experience with that

I'm pretty sure (more like 100%) it won't drop if you have exactly same url structure on vB4.

Those threads you linked to were made in 2010 and from personal experience I haven't lost any traffic, infact my traffic has been rising steadily.
