Subforum icons and alerts

Had a good subforum setup in vb3.x but recently had to migrate to 4.x and cannot seem to get the subforums to act like they did in the old version. Here is how it looked in the old version:

Things I cannot seem to resolve are :
Stats to the right of the subforum title (threads/posts)

Any suggestions?
