Facebook Connect

I was wondering if you enable Facebook connect can anyone join and will that affect member count meaning if they log in from Facebook they don't have to register??

Is that how Facebook connect works?

If they login via facebook, then they actually get an account on your site - they are registered via facebook to your site.
