Embed Youtube videos in posts?
 

I want to embed the videos vice just posting a link to them.

I saw a few tutorial videos on Youtube showing how to do this, but it did not work - just the links showed up in the forum posts.

Is there something I need to do relative to my vBulleting control panel/permissions, etc., that would enable the embedding of videos in forum posts?

If you have vB4 you should already have that capability..!?

When making a post look for this button.. http://www.gamelobby.com/Forum/images/editor/video.png

It is for embedding videos. If you are asking how to do it.. all you need to do is take the url of the video (from the address bar "http://www.youtube.com/blahblahblah/v/whateverelse ) & put that in the box. Works just like an image.


IF you dont have vB4, then this thread is pointless & in the wrong place, so you need to post somewhere else. :) (vB3.x)

What were you doing wrong? I have vb4 too and the insert video button just keeps showing a link instead of the video.

I just realized there was a typo in the embed tool on Youtube.

better yet I don't have the insert video button in my editor.

How do I get it?
