vb3.8.7 benefits over 3.8.6

I have been thinking and going over in my mind whether to do the upgrade from 3.8.6 to 7 and am wondering what was fixed or what the patch log is for .7 over .6? Can anyone either point me in the direction of either a link or list them here what was fixed between the two versions so I can better decide whether to upgrade it or not?

And I believe this was answered before but will all the hacks that were downloaded that were compatible with .6 be transferred over in the upgrade to .7 or will they have to be reinstalled again after the upgrade occurs? and any custom skins made, will there be bug issues with those to where they would have to be reprogrammed.

All this information is very helpful to me and thank you to anyone who can answer these questions as it will help me better make this decision to upgrade.

Thanks again in advance

I'm not sure what the actual change log is between 3.8.6 and 3.8.7, it was just a handful of unusual bugs.

But what I do know is just about every mod for 3.8.6 will work on 3.8.7- I've never seen one that hasn't. Also with the style- you don't need to change your style, you can keep the same 3.8.6 style, it will work fine- it has for me.

IIRC there were 12 bugs or less. Nothing major, except one bug in social groups.

There are no benefits. As long as the bugs aren't major ones, any vB version is good. I'm still using the 3.8.4 PL2. No problems or anything.. :)

There is a major vulnerability in vb3.8.4PL2

so basically if i did the upgrade to 3.8.7 i would lose nothing and everything would transfer over to the upgrade WITHOUT having to re-add all my hacks and having to fix styles? i just want to make sure because thats more work than i want

thanks

As far as I know, you wouldn't lose anything. But make a backup, just in case... :)

3.8.7 is compatible with php 5.3 as well, whereas 3.8.6 is not.
