Giveaway Key after 10 posts
 

Hi there,

I am running a forum and I have acquired several 100 cd keys from a publisher as a promotion for a pc game.

The goal is to give away those keys to all users who have at least 10 posts or more. Because of the amount of keys we can give away, we can not manually do this.

Is there a modification that could be used for something like this?

My basic idea would be to upload those several 100 keys to the database, have a function in the user control panel that users have access to if they have 10 posts or more, where they can fetch a key. That key would then be marked as used and will only be displayed to that specific user who it was assigned to.

I was hoping something like this would already exist, or at least something similar that I could use as basics.

Thinking about it, even an automated private message that is being sent after reaching X amounts of posts would do.

I could then mess around with the PM template and hopefully get it to use variables.

I know of no automated way to do it. I'd just make an announcement and tell qualified people to contact you. Keep a list to prevent double dipping.

This may well be helpful and could be used as a way to do what you wanted with multi winners maybe...
