Aligning Sub Forums
 

Good morning to you all

I got the sub forums to show up.

How do I get them to line up like the following site instead of in a horizontal fashion?

There is a mod to do that, or just use CSS. I posted an article in the vb$ article forum on using CSS to do that.

I am an uber-newbie. Therefore, I haven't a clue as to where to go to insert the code. I have only had vBulletin for about 4 days.

You add it to your additional.css template. That is in style manager > find style > edit templates > double-click css templates > additional.css

Ok, I must be completely stupid. I am unable to find additional.css. I don't know if it means anything, but I am running version 3.8.7.

When I click on Style Manager I get a small window that says the following;

Style Manager and has a checkmarked box next to Default Style. Under that it has 2 buttons; Save Display Order and Search In Templetes. Under that is the copy right info;
vBulletin? v3.8.7, Copyright ?2000-2011, vBulletin Solutions, Inc.

When I click on "edit templates" I am unable to locate "css Templates"

Ah yes, my mistake. I didn't see that this was the 3.x forums. You don't have an additional.css template. And, I don't believe that CSS will work without you rewriting the classes for it (I used the vB4 classes when I wrote it). So, you are probably better off doing a search for the modification.

I take it this is one of the improvements to 4.x.
