Help with custom toplinks and search bar!

Hi All,

I've copied and modified the Default Style on my forums:

http://forums.miui.us/forum.php?styleid=4

I've been able to integrate all my graphic designers changes except for the Top Links.

He wants it to look like this:

I don't even know where to begin. I know the template is called header but all that login stuff confuses me.

I am even more stuck with the Search box he designed:

Anyone willing to give it a try?
