Sphinx search 3.8
 
Can anyone fill me in on the demand for Sphinx integration on large (1mill+ unique visitors/mo) 3.8 forums? I did a search on here and google but came up with very very little information regarding the subject.

Is this something that many are getting hung up on with little solutions? Last I heard was a $2k solution. Anyone mind dropping a few words about it?

A good sphinx integration for vb3.8 is not available unless you are willing to spend major cash. Digitalpoints sphinx integration for vb4 is good, though it doesn't allow sorting of search results). It would be nice if someone would create something similar for vb3.8

But I dont think it includes search for groups, blogs, thread prefixes, attachments, VM, PM and albums.

Well that would be a rather useless search system if that were the case, now wouldn't it? lol
