Anti-Adblock

Hi,

know anyone an Anti-Adblock Add On for vB4?
I found some Add Ons but they are for 3.8

Why block these users, they are not going to convert well and displaying ads around there plugin will most likely make them mad

No Addon necessary.
Just put an image with the "You have adblock enabled. This makes me sad panda" Text on it, place it behind the ad. Then someone hides the ad, they see the image instead... No coding needed. Just some template editing and css.

Also read the rules of the Advertisings your using, some companys by now forbid using such anti ad-blocking addons (because it only makes people mad + they will mostly ignore it, so they aren't interested in these kind of users)

Blocking people who have adblock installed is just stupid. People who use adblock in the first place won't click on ads even when they whitelist the page.

However I like when for adblock users a picture appears, with a quick explanation that the site is funded by people clicking on ads, and it would therefor be nice to set this site on the whitelist.
But as I said, adblock users wont click on ads.

+ 1 ... completely agree.. putting a few ad's respectably is one thing but annoying the hell out of your users with countless popups and ad's is just wrong. Why do you think they got Ad Block in the first place, You are just alienating your users, making them mad and forcing them to find an alternate your site; now that's one thing you dont want to do. Dont be a Sad Panda, You are likely to get sexually harassed by al gore for doing that.. :(

However if your ad's are done right and not overly annoying, then as the guy above me said "You have a quick explanation that the site is funded by people clicking on ads" - that would seem right...
