Switching to a deddicated server.
 
Well basically, i have my vb4 installed on a hostgator server, but it goes slower slower and slower every day.. at the moment i wanna switch to a private deddicated server is it possible?

Can someone guide me through all these stuff?

Bare in mind i have an online game which extracts Username GameID etc from vb forums databases.

I'm not familiar with what all options hostgator provides but do they provide you with a control panel like cpanel etc? You can just take a full cpbackup in that case, if not, then you might have to backup and restore all the files and database manually.
It depends on what choices you have on the new dedicated server you plan to get as well.
