closing forums - only forums
 

I include the global.php file on a template throughout my entire web site (outside of the forum). I do this, because I use the forum registration as a user registration for the entire site.

So, when I close the forums for maintenance, it closes my entire web site off.

Is there a way, that I can shut down only the forums?
Where I can include the global.php in other files, and it won't close down those files?

Any suggestion?
