Is there a way to set up my site to have custom tabs

Hi everyone,

I have a medical site and I was wondering if it would work for me to have custom tabs. For instance, I want to have a tab that says "Doctor Search." I have several sites that allow you to search for doctors, but how could I implement that setup on my site using a 3rd party site.

For example, this site has what I am trying to setup.
http://www.spine-health.com/forum

if you look at their tab "Find a Doctor," it then takes you to a form that allows you to plugin the criteria you're looking for.

This is an example of a site that has the search criteria I'd like to implement into this tab:
http://sexuality.about.com/gi/o.htm?...fsexology.com/

Would anyone know how about to do something like this??

Sorry for the long post, but I think other people would find this of interest for their site as well.

Thanks!

Mike

Lynne wrote a very good tutorial on tabs and drop-downs. Look in th articles section. ;)

If you're not adverse to paying for a mod I highly recommend Tab & Link Management from Wolfshead Solutions. They have a free version listed here, but they have a more advanced pay version. We use it and love it. Very customizable.

True, but ripping the code apart and seeing how it works has a lot to offer also. ;)

Sure, but most of us are not primarily coders; the forum is a side thingie. We like it simple.

But if Lynne wrote a manual, I'm sure it's good.

I think there was also promised a new tabs / header editor in some future 4.X version, but I do not remember details. If there where any. Anyone know?
