Modifying Advertisement Layouts?

Is it possible to change the size and locations of the advertising layouts in the Ad Selector? Eg, I want to list several smaller ads down the right side of the Home page, and I want to do the same in my forum, but the advertising options in the Ad Selector are very different to this. Can I create a new Ad Selector, or modify an existing one? If yes, how do I do this?
