What is the best way to advertise a site, or to get alot of members?

i have the site, genericx.org

i have quite a bit of members, but im looking to increase that count. I have tried promoting players via through the players that i have already. Some listened some didn't.

You're doing it right now, you're advertising your site here, hoping someone will register, lol. There's nothing we can tell you as it's obvious that you already know how to advertise, otherwise you wouldn't post the link.

You can also join other forums that have good page rank and alexa stats. Just google "high traffic vbulletin forums", and you may find a website or blog that has an entire list of them, by Google pagerank and Alexa traffic rank.
