Problem : The invasion of Robots posters (vb 3.7.6)
 

Hi

I tried to avoid Robots from my websites with many tool , but it seems that they success on posting alot of spam on my site

Im using :
- Question verification in registration
- Limitation Mod for posting links / images / ....(must have min 10 post)

But instead of that I get more than 1000 spamming posts everyday .:eek:

Any Idea will be appreciated

Have you tried the usergroup promotion thing? Basically, you'll create a new usergroup for registered users, and move them into that usergroup. And edit the permissions of the real usergroup for registered users.

And you could make the promotion, to promote users when they make 5 posts in the specific forums, to the new usergroup for registered users with full permission.

I would install this vB Bad Behavior and this: [GlowHost] Spam-O-Matic for vB 3.8 (StopForumSpam, Akismet, Auto-Moderation and more)

Come up with a question and answer as your registration option. Instead of CAPTCHA. I did it on my board. Worked like a charm.
