Anyone using Core FTP?

Is anyone using Core FTP? I just downloaded this last night to use in place of FileZilla since it seems FileZilla was starting to have issues since I moved to my new host. Anyway, they suggested I use Core FTP (it's the same program they use), but it only uploads 1 file at a time (at the moment).

Is it possible to upload more than 1 file at a time with Core FTP? Does anyone know?

Try WS_FTP Pro.... Love it!

SecureFX+SecureCRT is the only one I use.

I use Core FTP Free Version, never heard (or even knew) FTP could do multiple files at once.

A far as I know, they all upload one file at a time. I can highlight how ever many files I want to upload, was well as directories, and it will upload the all, but one right after the other. SecureFX is fast on uploading. I get around 225 K /sec for uploads. I used to use Total Commander for all my uploads but it is slowwww for FTP uploading. I just tried WS_FTP Pro to see if Roms was correct and it sucks! I can't even connect via SFTP with it.

Yeah Like Boofo said, you can definitely highlight multiple files in Core FTP and it will queue them to upload- but the actual transfer is one at a time.

I suppose if an account was set to allow multiple logins someone could program an FTP client to do simultaneous transfers like usernet clients do downloads, but again I never saw that in practice.

Core FTP (free version) is all I have used for years and years. Highlight and Core with queue them, like mentioned. You can also transfer whole folders in one click.. so if your FTP'ing multiple files in a file tree, just upload that way.

HMBeaty, I need to re-tract my earlier statement. It appears the CuteFTP Pro DOES allow uploading of files simultaneously instead of just sequentially. So far, it is the only FTP program I have come across that allows that.

Actually, FileZilla does this as well, however, FileZilla doesn't agree with my new host for some reason. So I use Core FTP to upload and FileZilla to download. :)

Ahh, okay, I did not know that. I'm still just learning about these things. I have always used Total Commander to upload files to FTP but it is slow as heck.

Doesn't Filezilla do simultaneous connections though instead of simultaneous files uploaded via the same connection?
