tracking IP on regional whois

Hi

Am currently running an inherited SMF forum. I am thinking of opening a new one with VB.

Query; is there a VB mod that allows me to look up the IP of a registering member on a regional whois to find out their country of origin ?

(background: I have my registrations set to Admin approval as
a) I am not interested in overseas registrations and
b) I want to keep out the spambots too.

It is available on my existing SMF forum but dunno if a mod or original.
