Hello folks,

Is there a mod or hack that will allow me (or any admin) to change user's display name?


I know that there's a hack that allows users to change their own username X amount of times but we don't want that.

That plugin also has the ability to alter the permissions of whom can change the nickname. So for example only administrators can change it rather than the normal registered users. Can't you just edit the usernames in their profile within the admincp? That would be much easier.

Admins can just change the name in the admincp.

Sorry for not being a little clear in my 1st post.

I'd like to have a username and a display name. I know SMF has it on their forums but was wondering if there was a hack/ plugin that allows me to have a display name. So if I change the display name, the user can still login with their own credentials.

You could set up a profile field for that, I would think.
