Registered cant see recent posts

Its late and my head hurts, can someone help me out so I can fix this for 1 of my members, so I can go to sleep? Unregistered visitors can see recent forum and blog posts in sidebar on home page, once registered cannot see recent forum and blog posts, but can see recent articles. where do I change it?
