Use VB from another site.

I am using my own VB 3.7 (site 1 )but happy to upgrade if it will help do what I want. I am trying to find out if a soccer club (site 2) on another site (same hosting server) can use my forum so that they only will be able to see their own post and not all the others on site 1 along with being able to setup user names etc.

site 2 would need their own license. you would then need to use some product/plugin to allow the two forums to share the same users database.
