Want to Run a Forum Giveaway! Banner? Text?

I want to run a forum giveaway but what's the best way to do it and how can I put in text or a banner on top or in a prominent place for users to see it to enter? Thanks!

I would use a Notice (or Announcement, if not in all forums) with a link to a thread. And maybe a banner also. Your call.
