how to move Vb setup from subfolder to top?

I have done it with other website/CM's but never on Vb, my vbulletin is currently residing inside a folder named "forum" and now I am wanting to put it on top level.

so it now looks like mywebsite.com/forum

how do I exactly bring it to top level so its just mywebsite.com, do I just copy and paste the files or what?

And how do I do the broken URL redirect / re write thing?
