Bizzaar behaviour with picture comment moderation
 

I noticed something really odd

I turned on the option vbulletin options -> User Profile: Album Options -> Moderate picture comments

What I find now is if member A adds some picture comments to member B album the comments are 'Awaiting Approval' and can only be viewed by member A and member B. That seems reasonable

Member B wil lsee in their User CP a notification like

'Pending Picture Coments'
You have 2 comment(s) awaiting approval

If member B now approves one of the comments and returns to the User CP they now see a notification like this:

Pending Picture Comments
You have 1 unread picture comment(s)
You have 1 picture comment(s) awaitng approval

Approving both would give the result of 2 unread picture comments

This is complete nonsense! When they approved the comment they could also see (read) it. I could hack this by editing the template not to show unread picture comments. But I would really like to know what is going on and how it is supposed to work.

Surely authorised comments are by default 'read' and how can you get unread comments if they all require authorisation first? :confused:
