Display LastPost for subforums on ForumHome?

I'm currently running VB4.1.2.

Forums which are "inactive" but contain sub-forums, do not display the last thread/post on the Forumhome. I don't recall this being an issue with VB3.x.

Is there anyway currently to display the last post in a subforum on the Forumhome??

Thank you

If a forum is Inactive, then it isn't going to get any new posts and it's doubtful that it's post would be the Last Post, no? But, by definition, if a forum is not Active, it won't appear:
Quote:

(Will not appear if set to no, but remains accessible if the forum's URL is known)

Thanks for the reply.

Sorry I misspoke, the parent forum is set to "Act as Forum = No" & "Forum is Open = No"...but is active.

So for example, say I have this structure:
*Car Talk <-- Parent, closed to prevent posts and force posting in the sub forums
**Interior
**Exterior
**Engine

I would like the last post in one of those sub forums, to appear as the last post of Car Talk when looking at Forumhome. I swear this was possible in VB3, but maybe I'm losing my mind ;) I saw a few modifications that seemed to do this...but not for VB4.

Thanks again

It should be working that way now. What are you seeing right now?

that's kinda what I thought...

"Normal" forums work fine, those with a sub-forum show nothing.

I've attached a screenshot below:

Ah, I see now. It's because you have it acting as a category (act as forum is set to no). It's a Category, not a Forum, so it doesn't show the last post.

ah ha....
Yep, I switched it back to a forum...works like a champ.

Thanks for the help, knew it had to be something simple I was missing... :)
