CMS Remove Redirect to /content

I posted this a while ago on vbulletin.com forums, but have yet to get a result.

On our homepage (http://www.soundforums.net), the address bar shows

http://www.soundforums.net/content

Is there a way to make the CMS show up as the main directory, without "/content" being in front of the pages?

I just installed a wiki to http://www.soundforums.net/wiki, however, I can't access that directory from the web browser, it also redirects to /content. The .htaccess I am using is from the provided do_not_upload over, as we switched to mod_rewrite URLs for SEO. It is below:

Code:

RewriteEngine on

# If you are having problems or are using VirtualDocumentRoot, uncomment this line and set it to your vBulletin directory.
# RewriteBase /forums

# If you are having problems with the rewrite from content/ to content.php, uncomment this line to turn MultiViews off.
# Options -MultiViews

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -s [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -l [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d

RewriteRule ^.*$ - [NC,L]

# Forum
RewriteRule ^threads/.* showthread.php [QSA]
RewriteRule ^forums/.* forumdisplay.php [QSA]
RewriteRule ^members/.* member.php [QSA]
RewriteRule ^blogs/.* blog.php [QSA]
RewriteRule ^entries/.* entry.php [QSA]

RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -s [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -l [OR]
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} -d

RewriteRule ^.*$ - [NC,L]

# MVC
RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !\.php$
RewriteRule ^(?:(.*?)(?:/|$))(.*|$)$ $1.php?r=$2 [QSA]

bumb, because I have the same question

DrPrepper 02-10-2013 09:40 PM

Same here, tried all following instructions:

https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...t-Tab-in-4-2-0
https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...ing-to-content
https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...-content/page2
https://www.vbulletin.com/forum/show...wanted-content

But end up with either a redirect to mydomain.com/content.php - or - an error like Error 310 (net::ERR_TOO_MANY_REDIRECTS): There were too many redirects.

My setup is as described at http://www.vbulletin.com/docs/html/m...insubdirectory

... and I simpy want my homepage to be on the root of my domain! Not a very exotic request, is it :)

I have also been working on this issue.
