Non VB page with VB info

Below is what I used for vb3.6. But now that I went to 3.8, it does not work. What needs to be modified?

I can think of no reason some basic javascript would work in 3.6 and not 3.8. What is the exact result in 3.6 and what is happening in 3.8? A link to see this would help.
