Overwritten the default master style - how to restore?

I uploaded a style from our test site (Download as Master) and uploaded it in the forum. Now every time I add a new style with no parent, the style is already customized. I think the default vb4 style has been overwritten because the style that was uploaded is Master Style?

Is there any way I can restore the old vb4 style so that when I add a new style with no parent it will look like vb4 default style.

Thanks in advance!

Upload tools.php from the do_not_download folder into your admincp. Point your browser to it, enter your customer number, and you may reinstall the master style. Once done, remove tools.php

Hi Lynne

I got an error after doing that:

<!-- Database error in vBulletin 4.1.0: Invalid SQL: UPDATE vb3_template SET styleid = -10 WHERE styleid = -1 AND (product = 'vbulletin' OR product = ''); MySQL Error : Duplicate entry 'vbcms_searchresult_staticpage--10-template' for key 'title' Error Number : 1062 Request Date : Thursday, March 3rd 2011 @ 05:13:20 PM Error Date : Thursday, March 3rd 2011 @ 05:13:20 PM Script :

Then I can no longer view the forum, it is now blank. >_>

Run repair/optimize on your tables. You can do this from tools.php or from whatever you use to access your database.

Will reinstalling the master style using the tools.php file revert any templates on customised styles?

IIRC it should not, as those are stored as edited. Best thing would be to do a backup, then reinstall the master style. Just in case something blows up, you can restore the backup. :)

Backup was going to be my first port of call. I have uploaded the tools.php to my admincp (its not admincp as I changed it for security) and when I upload tool.php to the folder and point the browser to it, I just get a blank page.

Does the install folder need to be uploaded too?
