Old Styles Compatability

I'm sorry, it's getting late and I'm fried...

I just upgraded from 3.8 to 4.1.2 and have run into the known incompatibility of style settings.

I can't seem to even think straight. Is there somewhere that spells out the differences, and possibly how to go about fixing the issues? I saved copies of my header and footer coding, but the new style editor is less than, shall we say, intuitive?!?

In hind sight, It might prove beneficial to let you know, I'm talking about http://www.tinbenders.org

I am not entirely sure where the incompatibility is, but I presume it's in the header/footer as both were heavily modified.

Would anyone be willing to glance at my old php for the header and footer? The message says that the merge failed due to conflicts, but not knowing where to even start makes progress slow.

I don't mind learning and doing the work myself, if I could get a point in the right direction. ;)

vB3 and vb4 are completely different, vb4 is based on style vars and seprate CSS sheets whereas vB3 was all CSS in one with minor style vars..

You should ideally start making a new style for vb4 than trying to port which might leave some perpetual nagging issues.

I spent a long while last night reading about the changes, learning where everything has been hidden.

Now I'm struggling with actually trying to make a new style...

Wish me luck ;-)

Ok, I need help, paid or not... I'm making changes to a new theme and they aren't appearing at all, let alone where I expect them... :(

Anyone bored? I can provide a login, and copies of the old code if needed.. :/
