Customizing Site for VB4

Hi Everyone, I'm hoping for some help here. I have several questions. I have a fairly large site but, most of it is now VB4 (the full suite). Now I would like to make the rest of the site appear to be working within VB4. My initial thought is simply using PHP and converting the page headers/footers on the NON VB4 pages to VB4 (or something like it).

I have been looking at the Plugin System but, it seems difficult to a simple (php include="http://mysite.com/oldpage.index")
