I messed up my forum by renaming the folder

I had this stupid idea that if i renamed the folder i had installed vbulletin in.. and at the same time updated in my control panel.. everything would be fine. Now nothing works and i dont know how to fix it.. i cant log back in to change nothing... what can i do!?!?!!?

I can rename the folder back.. but when i go to log in as the admin.. it still want it to go to the military-forum address...

I shoulda left it alone

nevermind the problem.. I fixed it.

now.. can someone smarter than me tell e how to get my url to have the - where i want it?

the original site is at www.bootcamp4me.com/militaryforum/forum.php

I tried to change it to... www.bootcamp4me.com/military-forum/forum.php

whats the best way to do this? without losing posts or anything made already (ie without reinstalling)

make a new forum at the folder you want /military-forum

Then just take a backup from the site, the new forum will have to have a database created , index and config sys that make the site work. then when it works, just back up the old data base over the new one. should now be the old forum in the new folder

then delete your old forums folder should be simple to add the minus - in the config and new data base
