Avatar is Enabled - Members can't upload

As a member of my own forum, I wanted to upload my avatar and the radial button is checked no avatar (or similar statement)

However, in my control panel, I have avatar usage engaged (turned on).

Is there a thread on that? Would I search "avatar" or can someone shoot a quick answer back at me.

goto /images/avatars/ cmod 777

Thanks.

Are you talking about my Control Panel as administrator, or,

....are you talking about my member profile?

I looked both places and I don't see any path for: /images/avatars/cmod777

There's "avatar manager" in the control panel...but nothing appears to be helpful there.

He is talking about the directory.

Where are your avatars being saved - the database or the filesystem (admincp > avatars > user picture storage type)

Do you have avatars enabled in AdminCP > Settings > Options > User picture options > avatars enabled? And then also allow avatars per usergroup in usergroup manager > edit usergroup?

My avatars??
I want members to be able to have an avatar when they post.

They're all "on" (were by default anyway) and appear to not be the problem.

Members can't upload avatars...the radial button is checked that they can't when they try. Gosh, this shouldn't be such a nightmare.

Why must my forum members see this when they want to have an avatar?

Answers thus far either don't answer it, or are too encrypted for a newbie to understand.

Create a new style with no parent:
  • Styles & Templates > Style Manager > Add New Style
  • Parent Style: No Parent Style
  • Title: Default vBulletin
  • Allow User Selection: Yes
  • Save
Then browse the site using that totally default vbulletin style - do you still have the same problem?

Edit avatar doesn't allow an upload. Tried with default. Same problem.

Profile image upload works.

Now what could it be?

1. avatars are being saved in database

2. avatars are enabled in AdminCP

As I said, there are two separate places to enable avatars in the admincp. Did you check both of them.

That was the problem. Thanks. Had not checked the right place in User Group. Now the users can upload avatars and we're very happy.

This thread did it's job.
