Scores Not Posting
 

Hi all,

I have vB 4.1.1 and installed this mod today. However, I get a 404 error when the game tries to post the score. The index.php has been edited as instructed.

The path that gives the 404 error is:

/forums/index.php?act=Arcade&do=newscore

However, my index.php is outside of the forum directory in the site root. Is there any change i can make to correct the path?

you should have a defalt index.php along with your forum.php
in your forum dir...
unless you deleted.. it's a redirect to your forum.php.

put the edit in there

I attached the index.php file
add it to your forum dir..

Damn!!! Like an idiot noob I renamed it because I thought the one in the root would be fine thus not needing the index.php in the forums folder! Have re enabled the file and added the edit! Works fine now!

I am getting a 404 page when some v2 games submit scores it is the "index.php?act=Arcade&do=newscore" The index.php is in the forums root folder and the code was added, most all the games score fine and the game throwing the 404 error has scored before, confused as to why it is now not scoring, anyone else having this problem and know of a fix?

Have the up to date Versions of Arcade and Forum

I am not sure about the v2 games.. are there from the other arcade ?

if more are saving score correctly then code is all good it might be the game..
I have come across games that wouldn't save score ..

and then down the road found the same game release by someone else and it worked perfectly..

A member has found 2 v2 games that use to score and now throw a 404 page, I just deactivate them, just seems weird that they submitted a score before and was wondering if anyone else has run into this.

they may of also lost the gamedata.. this is not uncommon..
try to upload just the files.. by extracting the tar file and uploading them the to the correct dir..

These are V2 games not V32 no files other then the swf and images, did delete and upload a fresh copy of the .swf but did not help. Maybe I will try putting it in a different Category and see if it scores. Do not use the tar installer chmods everything to 777, not good when on a shared sever.
