Pay to POST and BUMP Threads? Users pay to push threads back to the top.
 

What i want to be able to do is require payment to bump threads in a certain section of my forum.

I noticed there was a hack for a 3x version (buy thread) but I'm running 4.0.x right now and can't seem to find a solution.

I did find a mod that will allow me to 'bump' threads but I want to do this on a payment only basis, and automatically if possible. User pays a set fee, and their thread gets bumped to the top of the forum automatically.

Can anybody steer me in the right direction for a mod of some sort that will allow me to charge people to post a thread in a certain forum?

Is this possible?

There's got to be a way to do this, I've seen it done at other forums.

unm pay per thread and bump per thread is not a known mod, it would have to be built post it in paid or unpaid mod requests, were you will see many other s just like it. as far as i know it hasn't been done if I'm wrong the coder should pm me i have a big list of people who want it :)

There is actually a mod for it, but it's for a 3.x version. It's called 'buy thread' which is pretty much exactly what I need, or 90% of it anyways. Aside from paying for the thread to be posted, that's half the battle, then it's just charging to 'bump' the thread.

I would pay for this to be done, whether or not it's posted here for vbulletin users or not.

I too am unaware of a mod that would do this automatically. But it's really more of an administrative issue, since the only thing stopping people from bumping threads is your rules and strict enforcement of them. So create a new usergroup "Sponsors" or something and allow those members to bump.

But I don't think it would fool members for long, and not at all if there were an auto-bump. I mean, after they click on the first 10 threads only to find no new material there, they would get wise and complain and stop clicking.
