Help with moderating threads
Hi, I currently have my forum set up so that there is an anti spam function that checks posts from new users to see if they look like spam, and if they do, the posts go into a moderation area and arent visible to the regular visitors.
I'm not sure if this is standard functionality of vbulletin, or if this is a mod I have installed. I cant remember. In any case, I'm wondering if there is any way that I can be notified of the "moderated" posts? As far as I can tell, the only way for me to even know if there are any for me to validate is if I log into the admin or mod area and manually check for them. Sometimes I forget to do this, and legitimate posts can end up sitting there for weeks! It would be great if there were some easier way to do this! Also, is there anyway that I can disable this for certain forums? Thanks. |
If you are talking about the option Spam Management, then that is a default vbulletin function. There is no option to send you emails or to only set it for certain forums. You can, however, change the setting Spam Scanning Post Threshold to something like 10 and then it will only check the users first 10 posts.
And admins don't need to login to the admincp/modcp to see moderated posts, just to to your forums > settings tab > moderation > moderated items > posts and you will get a list there. |
