FusionBB

Hi all, newbie here. Ive been thinking about moving my forum from FusionBB 3.0 to the latest and greatest VB. How difficult is it to move from one to the other, importing everything, etc, etc? Im totally clueless when it comes to this and would much rather have someone handle all this for me. Unfortunately VB does not offer import services. Is there anyone that youd recommend that may offer such services and how much would something like that run cost wise?

I don't think you can convert FusionBB to vBulletin. You can convert phpBB to vBulletin for sure with Impex.

I see impex offers support for FusionBB 1 and 2, I don't see anything for 3. Not sure if they never made one for 3 or it wasn't needed because the 2 importer still worked. I'm not familiar with FusionBB so I don't know how similar v2 and v3 might be.

I did a quick search on vB.org and I found one thread where someone asked for a converter, so apparently vB has caught up with versions 1 and 2, just not 3. You could always post a thread in there and see if anyone would like to take it on or try the FusionBB version 2 of Impex and see how it converts.

I can help with the FusionBB import.. done it once before it wasn't too bad. Though importing from phpbb and IPB work the best.

Any update on the FusionBB uploader/converter? Anything? I would have switched to VB a year ago if I could just move my current site data and members over to VB.

Following up on this topic.

I have a fusion 3 board and just purchased vBulletin.

I just did a demo setup of vBulleting and used the Impex for fusion 2
It's not far off. Got all my topics and posts in. I am having some troubles with the users import but it seems to be close.

So before I start picking apart the fusionbb database and doing this myself I though i'd check to see if there is a new script for importing from fusionbb 3 to Vbulletin 3, 4, or 5.

Or if there is a script/tool/format that I can manually populate with records from my fusionbb database to bring the data into vBulletin.

Anyone have some info on the subject?

I recently tried importing fusion2.2 into vbulletin 4 and had some issues, I'm sure fusionbb 3 may have issues as well.

Maybe you can change the code in converter for fusionbb.
