Custom Widget Does Not Appear
 
Please help, I can't figure out why this is happening.

I have created a Static HTML widget and a new template. The Widget has been added to my layout. However, the widget does not appear on the page. It seems like it will only appear if I add something into the Static html box, which I don't want to use because the widget needs to use php code.

The widget is shown in the layout manager, however it does not show up on the page. Any ideas?

Are you adding/looking for it in the correct section you add it to in layout manager?

If you are adding php, then why are you using a Static HTML widget?
