Post Icon Permissions

This hack https://vborg.vbsupport.ru/showthread.php?t=110093 worked perfectly for what I need but doesnt under 4.1 :(

Basically just looking for a way to have my post icons categorized in collapsable menus.

I.e

football icons
hockey icons....etc

I run sports themed forums and would love to have this working again. Seemed like a simple enough add on. Hope someone takes a shot at it!
