Make daily posts viewable for guests?
 

There's a similar modification that add's today's posts to the quick links bar here. That's not exactly what I'm looking for as I'd like a search button that guests can use as well.

We used to have vbadvanced installed before we upgraded to 4.1.1, but the cms doesn't take the place of the "recent activity" page (there is a widget, but its only viewable by members so its worthless to my forum).

Could anyone help me out either finding a mod like this, or perhaps creating one?

I'm sure only a line or two of code is needed, I'm just not sure where, or what.

Wow this was a bit of a no brainer, I had to enable searching for guests!

I don't actually need this anymore, sorry for the confusion.
