Recommended SQL and Server Settings For VB
 
I have been running a VB install for many years now.

Seems like under the 4.x.x series, I always have to reload the album upload page several times before it loads correctly and allows me to upload photos.

I am beginning to think my host does not have the SQL or database server correctly configured.

Is there a recommended standard configuration I could pass to them to check all settings?

No, there is no standard configuration. Every server is different and every forum is different. If you have a server that you may modify php and mysql settings for, then I would suggest posting in the Server Configuration forum over on vbulletin.com
