upgrade system

Trying to upgrade a forum from 4.0.4 to 4.1.1 and all goes well with the uploads but when I go to the upgrade system link and follow through the steps all the way to the admin log in, it seems to be staying with the 4.0.4 upgrade and not the 4.1.1
When I use this link, it welcomes me to the 4.0.4 upgrade system for the forum. Any ideas on what I'm doing wrong?

did you upload the wrong file :>
should work if all the new files are there
