If you need a different file extension you can choose it when you download the forum from your member's area on vBulletin.com. Choose to download vBulletin 3.x, and choose "More Download Options" on that screen you can select the file extension of the files, including .html as an option.

HOWEVER merely making the file extensions .html won't change your server load, the PHP still has to execute- it makes no difference the file extension. .html may not even work on your server, some servers (most even) usually require php in .php files.

There's no way you can covert vBulletin into an HTML only product.

Your forum pages can be HTML, but the files it is generated from are PHP, you CAN'T change that, vbulletin needs to run php code to function, as do all dynamic scripts.

You can download the vbulletin package with the .html extension as BOP mentioned above, however this will do nothing for server load, PHP code will still be run.

Mr.Jack , thanks for your comment

yea it is good idea , but BirdOPrey5 said that it may even not work on my server because most servers don't support this extension (.html) on .php pages
