Changing Forum URL, Can I redirect?
Soon I'll be changing the forum url from a subdomain to a directory so that I can use a wordpress bridge.
I'll be changing from: forums.mysite.com to mysite.com/forums. Can I do it and have all old urls redirect to the new one, or am I going to have to deal with some 404ing? TIA. |
If you have cPanel, navigave to subdomains >> manage redirects >> yoursite.com/forums
That should do the trick. |
I have a similar situation.
Current wordpress site: www.wp.mysite.com Current forums/site: www.mysite.com/forum.php What's the best way to redirect the sub-domains so that the WP site is the homepage, but my forums are still active? |
