Multiple Forum Skins - separate Amazon ad for each forum

Hey there,

I'm trying to create 27 customized skins using manually contextualized Amazon widgets displaying products that are highly tailored to the subject matter of each forum.

I have failed in every attempt - every time I create a new skin (whether child or no parent), ads from another skin override everything. E.g., if I have contextualized ads for video game consoles in the Pub, and self-development non-fiction in the Member Introductions, they are overridden.

How do I make it so the ads remain set (currently attempting in the ad_below_threadlist), and are not effected by completely overridden by the ads in other skins? This is a very frustrating matter for me.

Anybody have any workarounds for this issue?

Thanks, Ironduke

Bump - there ought to be a solution, right? :)

If you have coded them right they shouldnt be showing on your skins. How are you adding the ad's on each Skins?
With hooks? template edits? Vb built in Ad system? a Mod?
more info is needed

Template edits, no hooks, no mods.

Simply a copy paste of the Amazon generated custom ad in the ad_belowthreadlist template.

As you can see at the bottom in Member Introductions:
http://www.worldaffairsboard.com/member-introductions/
-this should be self-development books

If you look at the bottom of the thread list in World Affairs Board Pub
http://www.worldaffairsboard.com/wor...irs-board-pub/
-this is video games. It is overriding the self-development books selection from the generated custom Amazon ad.

this is showing me a Google Ad

In your post you said "Skins" this is just a different forum
Template edits into the Template wouldnt work like that
use the default Advertising system in your adminCP you can pick ad's for each forum that way
