Mobile Apps for VB

What are your opinions on the best mobile app to use? Tapatalk, ForumRunner etc. Thoughts?

The question I would ask is what features are you expecting to get out mobile apps like those?

Personally I am holding out for the vB4 mobile style instead of a dedicated app.

Hmm, is there a vB4 mobile style coming soon? That would be the ideal of course.

I just want something my members can use on their phones that makes it easy to check and reply to threads etc.

Internet Brands is taking a two-prong approach in regards to mobile devices. They are working on both a dedicated per-device app and also a mobile style. Currently an iPhone app is close to being ready while the mobile style is still in development.

You can find some screen shots of the in-development mobile style here while more information about the iPhone app can be found here.

vB will be releasing both a mobile app (which costs) and a vB4 mobile style (which will just be a style released in a future version). See this regarding the app - http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...ing-and-timing - and this regarding the style - http://www.vbulletin.com/forum/showt...ile-style-work

Thank you. I checked out the links and while cool I don't want to pay that. I'm still at the start up phases of my forum and I just can't justify that cost.

So back to the drawing board. If you had to go the third party route what would you pick?

The mobile *style* (not app) will not cost anything.

And there is at least one mobile style in the style's section here.
