Remove a thread from "What's New" listing
 
Does this exist?

I'm running 4.1.0 - pl2
I want to be able to tag a thread "do not show in "What's New" listing." Sometimes a really irritating thread will get bumped to the top of the "What's New" list and then lives on for a while because it is brought back to the members' attention.

Is there an easy way to do this?

Why not just close the thread? I know, you're probably trying to be discreet and would rather not let members know it's been locked.

That's it, really. I don't want to lock it - it would create a silly controversy that isn't worth it. But if I could help that thread fade away, I'd be happy!
